Best Skills, Build & Upgrade Path

Natalia is a Generation 1 Mythic Infantry hero unlocked with your first in-game purchase. What makes her a durable investment across multiple generations isn't any single skill in isolation — it's the combination of an account-wide passive talent, a high-uptime damage reduction proc, and a confirmed role as the primary Infantry rally leader from Generation 2 onwards. This guide covers every verified mechanic, exact skill values, and the full upgrade path you need to plan her investment efficiently.

At a Glance

Attribute Value
Tier Mythic
Generation Gen 1 (S1)
Class Infantry
Sub-Class Combat
Unlock Method First real-money purchase (any amount)
Shard Type Natalia Shards — hero-specific; General Mythic Shards do not apply
Exclusive Gear Gale Force
Talent Ursus Strength (account-wide passive — does not apply to rally joiners)

Unlock & Acquisition

Natalia is granted automatically upon making your first real-money purchase in the game, at any price point. That first transaction delivers enough Natalia Shards to reach ★1 immediately, which unlocks Ursus Strength — a permanent, account-wide +2% Attack and Defense buff for all troops, active from that moment regardless of whether Natalia is ever deployed.

Ascending beyond ★1 requires Natalia-specific shards. General Mythic Shards and Hero Hall recruitment do not apply.

Where to Get Natalia Shards

  1. VIP Packs (VIP Levels 1–6)
The main ascension path. VIP Packs across levels 1 through 6 collectively provide enough shards to reach ★5. Specific shard quantities per pack vary and are not publicly documented with sufficient consistency to list here; check your in-game VIP tab for current offers.

  2. Foundry Shop — Generation 1 Servers Only
During Gen 1, Natalia Shards are available in the Foundry Shop using Arsenal Tokens earned through Foundry Battles. Community sources consistently report a limit of 3 shards purchasable after each Foundry Battle. This route closes permanently once your server exits Generation 1.

Gen 1 Priority: If your server is still in Generation 1, the Foundry Shop window is time-limited. Once Gen 1 ends, VIP Packs become the only remaining shard source.

Star Upgrade Costs

The table below shows cumulative shard requirements at each star level. Per-level tier breakdowns (T1–T6) are available on whiteoutsurvival.app.

Star Level Cumulative Shards Required
★1 10
★2 40
★3 115
★4 300
★5 600

Values sourced from community tools (whiteoutsurvival.app, whiteoutsurvival.wiki) with consistent cross-source agreement. Not verified via official documentation.

Note: Star levels do not need to be purchased in order — you can jump to any tier as soon as you have the required shard count.

Exploration Skills

These skills activate during Exploration (PvE) game modes. Natalia's Exploration kit combines area damage, single-target pressure, and a stacking self-buff.

Beast Charge (AoE Damage + Utility)

Natalia's bear slams the ground, dealing AoE damage to enemies in range with a 1-second stun and knockback.

Skill Level Damage Multiplier
Level 1 Attack × 160%
Level 2 Attack × 176%
Level 3 Attack × 192%
Level 4 Attack × 208%
Level 5 Attack × 224%

Beast Charge is her highest-impact Exploration skill and should be maxed first. The combination of AoE damage, guaranteed stun, and knockback provides both clearing power and crowd control.

Whip (Single-Target Damage)

A single-target strike scaling with Natalia's Attack stat.

Skill Level Damage Multiplier
Level 1 Attack × 150%
Level 2 Attack × 165%
Level 3 Attack × 180%
Level 4 Attack × 195%
Level 5 Attack × 210%

Rage Response (Self-Buff)

On a 10% proc chance per hit received, Natalia gains a stacking Attack boost for 3 seconds, up to 5 stacks simultaneously.

Skill Level Attack Boost per Stack
Level 1 +4%
Level 2 +6%
Level 3 +8%
Level 4 +10%
Level 5 +12%

Maximum burst (5 stacks at Level 5): +60% Attack for 3 seconds. The 10% proc rate on incoming hits means this scales with fight duration — stronger in sustained exchanges than in short encounters. Lowest upgrade priority of the three Exploration skills.

Exploration Base Stats (Max Level)

Stat Value
Attack 1,873
Defense 2,220
Health 36,630

Values reported consistently across community tools; not verified via official screenshot.

Expedition Skills

These skills apply during Expedition (troop combat) game modes. Natalia's Expedition kit provides a high-uptime damage reduction proc, a flat troop attack buff, and a beast rally damage bonus.

Patch Note: Natalia's first Expedition skill was previously "Wildling Roar," which offered a stun chance for troops. This was changed to "Feral Protection" in a skill rebalance that also affected several other heroes, documented via a patch summary in January 2026. Any guide still listing "Wildling Roar" as Natalia's first Expedition skill is outdated.

Feral Protection (Damage Reduction — Skill 1)

On a 40% proc chance, reduces damage taken by all of Natalia's troops.

Skill Level Damage Taken Reduction
Level 1 −10%
Level 2 −20%
Level 3 −30%
Level 4 −40%
Level 5 −50%

At a 40% activation rate, this procs frequently enough in sustained combat to meaningfully reduce total damage absorbed. At Level 5, it halves incoming damage when active. Max this first among Expedition skills.

Queen of the Wild (Troop Attack Buff — Skill 2)

Passively increases Attack for all of Natalia's troops.

Skill Level All Troops Attack Buff
Level 1 +5%
Level 2 +10%
Level 3 +15%
Level 4 +20%
Level 5 +25%

A reliable, unconditional attack buff that applies across all combat scenarios. Max alongside or immediately after Feral Protection.

Call of the Wild (Beast Rally Damage — Skill 3)

Increases damage dealt during Beast Rally events.

Skill Level Beast Rally Damage Dealt
Level 1 +5%
Level 2 +10%
Level 3 +15%
Level 4 +20%
Level 5 +25%

Natalia serves as the default Infantry rally leader from Gen 2 onwards, making this skill consistently active across the game's primary alliance event. Max last of the three Expedition skills, but don't neglect it if Bear Trap participation is a priority.

Expedition Stats (Max Level)

Stat Value
Infantry Attack +200.16%
Infantry Defense +200.16%

Values reported consistently across community tools.

Talent — Ursus Strength

Added: July 2024 update

Unlocked at ★1 and maxed at ★5, Ursus Strength provides a permanent, account-wide passive buff to all troops.

Star Level All Troops Attack All Troops Defense
★1 +2% +2%
★2 +4% +4%
★3 +6% +6%
★4 +8% +8%
★5 +10% +10%

Critical mechanic: Ursus Strength is active regardless of whether Natalia is deployed — but it does not apply when her owner is joining another player's rally. The passive benefits your own marches and rally leads only.

Your first purchase delivers ★1 immediately, so the 2% Attack/Defense baseline activates on recruit. Each subsequent star adds a further +2%/+2%, making early ascension directly beneficial at the account level before Natalia sees combat.

Exclusive Gear — Gale Force

Natalia's exclusive gear adds two additional skills as it levels up, alongside significant Infantry-focused stat bonuses at max level.

Gale Force Max-Level Stats

Stat Value
Power 247,500
Hero Attack 379
Hero Defense 495
Hero Health 7,425
Infantry Lethality +55.5%
Infantry Health +55.5%

Upgrade Widget Costs

Gear Level Widgets (This Level) Cumulative Total
1 → 2 5 5
2 → 3 10 15
3 → 4 15 30
4 → 5 20 50
5 → 6 25 75
6 → 7 30 105
7 → 8 35 140
8 → 9 40 180
9 → 10 45 225
10 (max) 50 275

Widget costs sourced from whiteoutsurvival.app. 275 widgets total to max. Widget acquisition sources are not consistently documented across available community sources.

Gale Force Skills

Unity — Exploration damage bonus, scales to a maximum of Level 5:

Skill Level Exploration Damage Dealt
1 +10%
2 +15%
3 +20%
4 +25%
5 (max) +30%

Invincibles — Rally troop lethality bonus, scales to a maximum of Level 5:

Skill Level Rally Troops' Lethality
1 +5%
2 +7.5%
3 +10%
4 +12.5%
5 (max) +15%

Gear skill values reported by community tools. Specific gear level thresholds at which each skill tier unlocks are not fully verified.

Build Priorities

Expedition (Primary Role)

  1. Feral Protection to Level 5 — 40% chance to cut all troop damage by 50% at max. The highest-impact skill in sustained rally combat and Bear Trap events.
  2. Queen of the Wild to Level 5 — Unconditional +25% All Troops Attack. Applies in every Expedition context.
  3. Call of the Wild to Level 5 — +25% damage in Beast Rallies. Natalia leads Bear Trap rallies from Gen 2 onwards; this is a consistent-use skill, not a situational one.

Exploration (Secondary Role)

Max Beast Charge first for its AoE, stun, and knockback utility. Whip second for single-target damage. Rage Response last — its burst ceiling is high (+60% at 5 stacks, Level 5), but the 10% proc rate on incoming hits limits reliable contribution in shorter fights.

Talent

Reach ★1 on recruit to activate Ursus Strength's account-wide passive immediately. Prioritize further star investment as shards allow — each star is a permanent, unconditional buff to every march you send.

Exclusive Gear

Prioritize reaching Gear Level 5 to unlock Unity's +30% Exploration damage and Invincibles' +15% Rally Lethality at their respective maximums. Widget costs escalate steeply above Level 5 (30–50 per level); assess your widget supply before committing to the final five levels. Reaching Level 10 is worthwhile for dedicated players given the +55.5% Infantry Lethality and Health cap stats, but the 275-widget total requires sustained planning.

Bear Trap & Rally Role

Natalia's value in Bear Trap events is primarily as a rally leader, not a rally joiner. Her full Expedition kit — Feral Protection, Queen of the Wild, and Call of the Wild — applies when she leads a rally. In joining scenarios, only the first Expedition skill of the first hero in your march contributes — which significantly reduces what she brings to a rally she didn't lead.

From Generation 2 onwards, community practice consistently places Natalia as the primary Infantry rally captain in Bear Trap events. In Generation 3 specifically, Natalia's Gale Force widget configuration (two Lethality widgets, one Attack widget) is widely reported to outperform the alternative configuration (one Lethality, two Attack) when her star and widget levels are comparable or better — a meaningful advantage for players who have invested in her ascension.

Gear matters for leaders, not joiners. If you rotate heroes between game modes, ensure Natalia is equipped with your best gear before leading a Bear Trap rally. Gear does not affect output when joining another player's rally, so the swap is only relevant for rally lead formations.

Beast Cage (Furnace Level 18)

Once your Furnace reaches Level 18 and your server is at least 55–60 days old, the Beast Cage building becomes available and Natalia is the assigned hero for pet training. No specific combat bonuses are attributed directly to Natalia's trainer role — the Beast Cage is a standalone progression building. Pets trained there provide their own passive buffs to your base independent of which hero is assigned.

Generational Viability

Natalia remains a confirmed fixture in Bear Trap rally leads through at least Generation 3, where her widget configuration provides a measurable advantage in specific lineup compositions. Her account-wide talent continues to contribute passive Attack/Defense buffs regardless of server generation. As with all Gen 1 heroes, later generations introduce heroes with higher base stats — but the passive talent and rally widget role provide durable value that most newer Gen 1 alternatives do not replicate.
