Whiteout Survival Beasts Guide [2026]

Beasts and Polar Terrors are the primary PvE targets on the Whiteout Survival world map. While they may look like simple target practice, they are the foundation of your Hero EXP economy and the exclusive source of Hardened Alloy for late-game Chief Gear.

Quick Reference: Beasts vs. Polar Terrors

Feature Regular Beasts Polar Terrors (PT)
Level Range 1 – 30 1 – 7
Attack Type Solo Alliance Rally Only
Stamina Cost 10 (Leader) 25 (Leader) / 0 (Joiner)
Primary Reward Hero EXP / Base Resources Alloy / Speedups / Gems
Daily Cap None (Stamina limited) 50 Joiner Rewards / ~10 Leader Specials

The Hunting Economy

Every hunt is a conversion of Stamina into account growth. Understanding this loop is key to "Account Velocity."

Stamina: The Master Constraint

Hunting is fundamentally a Stamina management problem. Your power decides if you win; your Stamina decides how much you win.

1. Gina's Endurance Training (Essential)

Gina is the single most important hero for PvE. Her Endurance Training skill reduces the Stamina cost of solo attacks and rally leadership by up to 20%.

Skill Level Stamina Reduction Beast Cost PT Lead Cost
Level 1 10% 9 23
Level 3 15% 9 22
Level 5 20% 8 20

[!IMPORTANT] Compound Growth: Over a year of active play, a Level 5 Endurance Training saves approximately 32,000 Stamina—translating into roughly 4,000 "free" Beast attacks worth of resources and EXP.

2. Storehouse Discipline

The Storehouse drops 120 Stamina twice daily (12:00 and 24:00 UTC). These expire if not collected. Missing just one drop a week is equivalent to losing two Monthly Cards' worth of value per year.

Reward Structures & Caps

Polar Terror Leader Rewards

Leading a rally is expensive (25 Stamina) but offers Special Rewards (Gems and Epic Hero Shards).

  • Trigger Rate: ~50% per successful rally.
  • Daily Cap: Community reports suggest a cap of ~10 Special Reward procs per day.
  • Strategy: Once you hit your 10th Special Reward, switch to solo Beast hunting to maximize Hero EXP per point of Stamina.

Polar Terror Joiner Rewards (The Passive Meta)

Joining a rally costs 0 Stamina and is the most reliable source of passive Gems in the game.

  • Daily Cap: 50 rewards per day.
  • Auto-Join: This feature should always be enabled. A player in an active alliance will saturate this 50-cap daily with zero manual effort.

Global Reset Timing: Hitting the 50-Cap

The participant reward cap (50/day) resets at 00:00 UTC. Depending on your time zone, this reset can happen while you sleep, making auto-join settings critical.

Region Local Reset Time Strategy
NA (EST/PST) Evening (7 PM / 4 PM) Reset during peak active hours. Easy to monitor manually.
Europe (GMT/CET) Late Night (12 AM / 1 AM) Reset during sleep. Relies on APAC/Americas alliance activity.
APAC (JST/AEST) Morning (9 AM / 10 AM) Reset at start of day. Full waking day to fill the cap.

Event Interactions

1. Defeat Nearby Beasts (Bi-Weekly)

This 2-day event is the only time you should aggressively lead PT rallies beyond the 10-cap.

  • Beast Defeat: 1 Point (10 Stamina) = 0.1 pts/Stamina.
  • PT Rally Lead: 3 Points (25 Stamina) = 0.12 pts/Stamina.
  • The Play: Focus entirely on PT leadership during this event for a 20% point efficiency premium.

2. Gina's Revenge

During this 3-day event, Beasts drop Horns of the Cryptid.

  • The Play: Prioritize solo Beast hunting. Summoning and defeating the resulting Berserk Cryptids is the primary path to ranking up Gina for free.

Common Misconceptions

  • "Furnace Level Gates Beasts": Many believe Furnace 26 is required for Beast 26. While often correlated, Beast availability is primarily gated by Server Age, not individual player progression.
  • "Auto-Join is for Whales": Auto-join is actually most valuable for F2P players, as it provides free rewards (Gems/Speedups) at zero Stamina cost.
  • "Level 7 PTs are rare": PT Level 7 was added in April 2024. If they aren't on your map, your server is likely not mature enough to trigger the requirement.
