Whiteout Survival Teleport Guide [2026]

Teleporters are one of the most strategically important utility items in Whiteout Survival. They determine where you can fight, who you can hide from, and how fast you can react to threats. Mastering the five distinct teleport types is the difference between a coordinated alliance and a scattered map.

Quick Reference: Teleport Comparison

Teleport Type Destination Selectable? Free Stock? Primary Source
Random Random state tile No Yes (Recharging) Alliance Shop
Alliance Near your R5 Within Zone No Alliance Shop
Territory Near Alliance HQ No No Alliance Shop
Advanced Anywhere in state* Yes No Events / VIP Shop
Cross-State Enemy State Yes 3 per SvS State of Power

*Advanced Teleporters cannot land in enemy Alliance Territory within your home state.

Universal Rules: What Blocks a Teleport?

Before you can warp, your city must be "stable." You cannot teleport if you have any troops outside your city.

The Block Checklist

  • Marches: Any troops en route to or returning from a target.
  • Gathering: Troops currently on resource tiles.
  • Scouts: Any scouts currently in flight.
  • Reinforcements: Troops you have stationed in an ally's city.
  • Barricades: If your alliance barricade is under attack and you have troops in it, you are locked.

[!CAUTION] The Burning Barricade Trap: If your alliance barricade is being attacked, any troops inside it count as "active." You must recall them before you can teleport away from danger.

The R5 Beacon Strategy

The most efficient way for an alliance to move is the "Beacon" pattern. This saves dozens of expensive Advanced Teleporters by leveraging cheaper Alliance Teleporters.

Pro-Tip: One R5 uses an Advanced Teleport to position at an event (like Bear Hunt or Frostdragon), then the entire alliance follows using Alliance Teleporters from the shop.

The Five Teleport Types

1. Random Teleporter

What it does: Drops you on a random unoccupied tile in your state.

  • Free Stock: You have a rechargeable supply (max ~10) accessible via the arrow icon below your profile.
  • When to use: Escaping a bad neighbor situation when precision doesn't matter.

2. Alliance Teleporter

What it does: Teleports you to a landing zone near your R5 officer.

  • Source: Alliance Shop only.
  • When to use: Following the R5 to an event or war zone. You can cancel before confirming if you don't like the tile selection.

3. Territory Teleporter

What it does: Drops you close to your alliance's HQ.

  • Source: Alliance Shop only.
  • When to use: Returning to the safety of flagged territory after SvS or a forced teleport.

4. Advanced Teleporter

What it does: Full positional control. Land on any valid 2x2 space in the state.

  • Source: Alliance Shop (130k Tokens), VIP Shop (2k Gems), or Event Rewards.
  • On-Demand Cost: 4,000 Gems (Avoid this!).
  • Escalating Cost: During certain events, successive uses within a short window may consume increasing amounts of items (1, 2, 3...).

5. Cross-State Teleporter (SvS Only)

What it does: Warps you to a chosen tile in the enemy state during State of Power.

  • Source: 3 are granted for free at the start of the Battle Phase.
  • Note: These can land inside enemy territory, unlike Advanced Teleporters in your home state.

How to Get Advanced Teleporters (F2P & Low Spend)

Don't pay the 4,000-gem "panic price." Use these sustainable paths instead:

  1. Alliance Shop (Daily): Check the shop every day. Advanced Teleporters often appear at a 40–60% discount.
  2. Event Rewards: Focus on Foundry Battle, Sanctuary Battle, and State of Power rewards. These are the primary sources of "free" Advanced Teleporters.
  3. VIP Shop: If you must spend gems, the VIP shop is significantly cheaper than the on-demand cost.
  4. Nomadic Merchant: Occasionally offers teleporters for trade goods rather than gems.

Decision Matrix: Which Teleport Should I Use?

Scenario Best Teleport Rationale
Need to escape an attack NOW Random Speed and cost. Any tile is better than burning.
Joining a coordinated rally/event Alliance Follow the R5 "Beacon" to save Advanced stock.
Setting the "Beacon" for others Advanced Requires precision landing for the alliance to follow.
Returning to flags after SvS Territory Gets you home safely and cheaply.
Moving into a tight bunker formation Advanced Necessary for pixel-perfect positioning around a pillar.

Event-Specific Rules

State of Power (SvS)

  • Furnace 16+ is generally required to cross states.
  • Reinforcements do not cross. Recall all troops stationed in ally cities before you teleport to the enemy state.
  • Shields are disabled while in the enemy state.

Frostdragon Tyrant

  • Teleportation is blocked during the 5-minute preparation window at the start of the battle. Position yourself early.

Wild Brawl

  • You can teleport while using Smoke Bombs. Invisibility does not block warping, but attacking will break your smoke.
