Jessie is an Epic (SR) rarity hero of the Lancer class (Combat subclass), available from Day 1 of any server (Generation 1). She is one of the earliest Lancer heroes available and sees consistent use across early- and mid-game rally compositions — primarily as a rally joiner — thanks to the flat damage dealt buff on her first Expedition Skill.

How to Get Jessie

Jessie requires 10 Epic Hero Shards to initially recruit. She is available through:

  • Newbie Trials — earliest reliable source for new players
  • Epic / Advanced Recruitment in the Hero Hall
  • Intel Missions
  • Rotating event rewards (availability varies by server and event cycle)

Once recruited, additional shards are used to ascend her through star levels. See the Ascension table below for full shard costs.


Skills

Jessie has five skills total: three Exploration Skills (active in Arena and Exploration modes) and two Expedition Skills (active when she leads troops in rallies or marches).


Expedition Skills

Expedition Skills activate when Jessie is the lead hero of a rally or march. They do not activate when she is assigned to a building or in non-combat roles.

Important rally mechanic: When joining a rally as a joiner (not the rally leader), only your lead hero's first Expedition Skill contributes to the rally. Only the first four rally joiners' first Expedition Skills are counted; if a later joiner has a higher-level version of the same skill type, it may replace a lower-level one. This makes Expedition Skill 1 the primary investment priority for Jessie as a rally joiner.

Increases damage dealt for all troops when Jessie leads a rally or march.

Mechanic note: "Damage dealt" is a broader buff category than "normal attack damage." Exploration Skills

Exploration Skills are active in Hero-only modes (Exploration, Arena). They have no effect when Jessie leads troops.

Inherent Troop Buffs

In addition to her skills, Jessie provides passive Lancer Attack and Lancer Defense bonuses that scale with hero level. Recruiting Jessie (10 shards) places her at 0★. A further 10 shards are then required to reach 1★, where Expedition Skills and most skill upgrades become available. Reaching 4★ (the skill-max threshold) costs a total of 475 shards from first recruitment.

To fully max all skills, Jessie must reach 4★. Reaching 5★ improves hero stats and passive buffs but does not unlock additional skill levels.

All skill upgrades use Epic rarity Skill Manuals (separate pools for Exploration and Expedition skills). The manual cost per skill is the same across all heroes:

Jessie can equip 4 gear pieces in the Lancer gear slots:

Epic heroes cannot equip exclusive weapons. The 5th gear slot (exclusive weapon) is reserved for Mythic (Gold) rarity heroes only.

Jessie's Role in Expeditions

As a Rally Leader

When Jessie leads a rally, both Expedition Skills (Stand of Arms and Bulwarks) are active, providing a simultaneous damage boost and damage reduction for all troops in the rally.

As a Rally Joiner

When joining another player's rally, only Jessie's Stand of Arms (Expedition Skill 1) contributes to the rally. This is the primary reason she sees wide use as a rally joiner in early and mid-game — the Stand of Arms damage dealt buff is straightforward, stacks with the rally leader's skills, and requires no specific team composition to be effective.

Given that only the joiner's first Expedition Skill counts, Stand of Arms should be prioritized over Bulwarks when Skill Manual resources are limited and the intended role is rally joining.
