The Event Currency

You progress in the Hall of Heroes by collecting the event's redemption currency (shown in-game as Heroes Essence / Marks of Valor depending on your client version):

You receive a free amount every day the event is active.
You can earn more through event tasks and optional packs.
You spend it in the event shop to redeem exclusive hero shards for the current-generation Hall of Heroes hero, plus generic Mythic hero shards.

Because the free daily amount is limited, the exclusive hero is a long-term, save-up reward — not something you complete in a single cycle as a pure F2P player.

How to Use the Hall of Heroes (Strategy)

Decide if you want the exclusive hero first. Check the Hero Tier List. If the current generation's Hall of Heroes hero is S- or A-tier and fills a class gap, commit your currency to it.
Claim the free daily currency every day the event is live — missing days is the most common F2P mistake.
Prioritise the exclusive hero shards over generic Mythic shards if you are short on currency; the exclusive hero is the only thing you cannot get elsewhere.
